In honor of National Police Week, CPI Security joins our community in recognizing the men and women in blue who serve. This tradition began in 1962 as a way to honor law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
CPI Security supports the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Foundation.
We want to take a minute to express our gratitude to all law enforcement officers and first responders who work hard to protect families, homes, and communities. We also want to thank their families who make their own sacrifices every day.
Here at CPI, we work hand-in-hand with local law enforcement, first responders, and public safety officials – especially in our customers’ times of need. Our 24/7 monitoring center has a direct line to local police stations, ensuring authorities are quickly dispatched when there’s an emergency.
By the same token, we have a long history of partnering with and championing initiatives that support our first responders and their families – including local police foundations across our footprint in Greensboro and Charlotte, N.C., and Greenville, S.C.

We also support programs that strengthen relationships between police and our communities, such as the Police Activities League (PAL) of Charlotte and REACH Academy (Respect, Engage, Accountability, Character, and Honesty). In addition to strengthening community-police relations, PAL strives to serve youth and help them build leadership and citizenship skills through academics, mentorship, and athletics.

REACH is a summer program that builds relationships between participants and officers by promoting personal and social responsibility through leadership opportunities, educational seminars, and career and vocation development classes. REACH Academy graduates are formerly criminal justice impacted youth who receive roughly 100 hours of life skills training in exchange for the dismissal of their first-time, non-violent criminal offense. Upon graduation, the youth have their cases dismissed and expunged from their records to allow them a fresh start in life.
This is all part of our commitment to invest in the communities we serve – from partnering with nonprofits that support underserved communities, to volunteering with charitable organizations who share our mission to save and improve lives. We are committed to doing our part as good corporate citizens to make every day safer – and better – for everyone in our community, including our police officers.
